SpinX Technologies seeks to apply its core competences – microfluidics, electronics, optical readout technologies, molecular biology, biochemistry and surface treatment - to the successful miniaturization of our partners' assays, rather than developing novel assays ourselves.

The SpinX platform is exquisitely suited to homogeneous assays using an optical readout, In addition, it enables miniaturized assays which use surface-bound reagents or non-optical readout modalities, including radioactive isotopes, capillary electrophoresis, and coupling to mass spectrometry.

Reagent and kit providers aiming to complement their offering of do-it-yourself kits with "active" kits, tightly integrated with a compact, bench-top instrument.

The consumable component – the SpinX gCard – enables minute quantities of ready-to-use reagents to be packaged onto a substrate which serves at the same time as a support to process the assay: an “active micro-package”.
